Legacy of TriumphThe TTAMA Chronicle

Our Heritage
Trace our roots back to the remarkable beginnings and the unfolding saga of masters athletics under TTAMA. Since stepping onto the global stage in the 1982 Pan American Championships, we have continued to shape a rich narrative marked by passion and perseverance.
TTAMA’s inception and growth are testaments to the enduring spirit of masters athletics. Our journey began shortly after a notable participation in the 1982 Pan American Championships, leading to membership in the World Association of Veteran Athletes (WAVA).
We honor our affiliations with national entities and cherish the memories of hosting the first English-speaking regional championship in Trinidad and Tobago. Despite challenges, the commitment to our athletic program has been unwavering.
Our history is rich with championship events that have seen participation from both local athletes and those from our Caribbean neighbors. TTAMA continues to strive for regularity and excellence in hosting these significant meets.
The dedicated service of our members on WAVA’s Regional Council and our present executive body underscores our commitment to leadership in masters athletics.
